What Foothold is

Foothold is a personal, family-run website — a maths practice space built by a parent (Jesse) for his family and other known learners. It is not a school product, not a commercial service, and not affiliated with any school, education department, or curriculum authority.

The site is private. Invited learners receive an account with a username and their own passphrase.

Using the site

Keep your sign-in credentials private. Do not share them or try to get around the sign-in gate.

The site is for personal learning. Do not redistribute content from the site, scrape it, or use it for anything other than personal maths practice.

The tutor and content

Hints and tutor conversations support practice. They are not professional educational advice. The app never lets the AI tutor grade answers or decide mastery — the code does that.

Availability

Foothold is a hobby and family service run on a small server. It may be changed, interrupted, or shut down at any time without notice. It is provided as-is with no warranties.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. When they change, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change too.
